Marlin “Always-On”
Wireless Internet Service
Marlin is a faster
speed Always-Online internet product. You are permanently connected to
Internet, there is no need to dial up. Marlin is delivered via a wireless
connection. The customer premises are fitted with a small flat panel radio
transceiver that communicates directly with TVL, i.e. no wires are used between
the customer and TVL. Marlin is a much higher speed connection delivered via
wireless transmission; Lagoon & ADSL are both delivered via a dial-up or
ADSL modem respectively and connected to the telephone line. Customers will
need to have “almost” line of sight with one of the two base station towers in
Port-Vila to use Marlin. One is in Water Tanks, the other one is at Ellouck.
Marlin is highly recommended for customers outside
the ADSL coverage area and have direct line of sight with TVL base stations.
